My Review of Flipgrid

 

Flipgrid is a digital learning tool that allows students and teachers to post their responses in video forms and then respond to one another using video. This would be a great application should schools go back to being online. Flipgrid also connects directly to Google Classroom, so it works well to have an assignment that can be directly linked to one platform to another. Flipgrid helps student collaborate like a discussion board, but with the use of video. The teachers can also respond to the students to provide support, comments or feedback on the post. Students could do projects like a book report using a video rather than an in-person presentation to tell their findings and then students can also respond to the students video presentation or ask questions via video or group discussions using Google Classroom. Students can better understand material using this application because they can ask and answer questions from one another or create the projects in a group and record as a group. This may also help some students who have a fear of class presentations to be more successful.
